Children's Guidelines
Musictoday strongly encourages parents and guardians to supervise their children's online activities and to consider using parental control tools available from online services and software manufacturers to help provide a child-friendly online environment. These tools also can prevent children from disclosing online their name, address, and other personally identifiable information without parental permission. Tickets and products for sale are intended for purchase by persons age 18 and older. By making a purchase on the site, you agree that you are at least 18 years of age.
Although the Tony Hawk Fan Club site is not directed to children under the age of 13, Musictoday does offer a Tony Hawk Fan Club email newsletter and allows children under the age of 13 to subscribe by completing an online entry blank that requests their name, date of birth, and asks them to click a box indicating that they have the expressed permission from their legal guardian to receive the email newsletter communications. The online entry form also requests the parent or guardians email address and when the person under the age of 13 submits the entry form, the parent or guardian is sent a notification email that (i) informs the parent or guardian that the person under the age of 13 has been added to the Tony Hawk Fan Club email newsletter mailing list, and (ii) describes the newsletter and the frequency of its distribution to the email list. The notification email will provide the parent or guardian a link to an online form THAT allows the parent or guardian to opt out and prevent (i) the person under the age of 13 from receiving the Tony Hawk Fan Club email newsletter and (ii) the use of the contact information of the person under the age of 13. Musictoday collects no information other than the email address, date of birth, and PARENT OR GUARDIAN EMAIL ADDRESS from persons under the age of 13 subscribing for the Tony Hawk Fan Club email newsletter. Musictoday does:
***NOT collect online contact information from children under the age of 13 without prior parental consent or parental notification (such as the notification described above for the Tony Hawk Fan Club email newsletter), which will include an opportunity for the parent to prevent use of the information and participation in the activity. Without prior parental consent or notification, online information will only be used to respond directly to the child's request and will not be used for other purposes without prior parental consent or notification.
NOT collect personally identifiable offline contact information from children under the age of 13 without prior parental consent.
NOT distribute to third parties any personally identifiable information with respect to children under the age of 13 without prior parental consent.
NOT give the ability to publicly post or otherwise distribute personally identifiable contact information with respect to children under the age of 13 without prior parental consent.
NOT entice children under the age of 13 by the prospect of a special game, prize or other activity, to divulge more information than is needed to participate in the activity.
